Sick of 60-hour weeks, juggling 100 files, and feeling invisible? Join Empire Legal and do your best work without burning out.

Growth

You’ll work with a leadership team that’s hands-on, approachable, and genuinely invested in your growth. Mentoring and high level of support with senior lawyers and practice manager, plenty of ongoing training, and quarterly check-ins are the norm.

What you’ll do

  • Own A-to-Z residential conveyancing files in QLD with care and pace.
  • Keep clients, agents, and brokers informed with proactive updates.
  • Use our playbooks to clear conditions, prepare settlement, and lodge on time.
  • Spot risks early and escalate when needed.
  • Help nurture referrer relationships (no cold calling necessary)

You’ll bring

  • At least 2+ years managing end-to-end residential conveyancing in QLD.
  • Passion for 5-star client service, and nurturing referral relationships
  • Calm communication, tidy file notes, and deadline discipline.
  • A team player mindset and comfort with modern legal tech.
  • A sense of humour!

Pay and perks

  • Salary: $80,000-$100,000 + super, based on experience.
  • PLUS uncapped bonuses: performance-based with clear, written criteria.
  • Flex: hybrid by agreement.
  • Gear: tech set up for remote working, dual-monitor setup at home for WFH days.

Lawyer/File Handler

Obsessed with laying down the law? Have experience with residential and commercial conveyancing? Can work well with a team or flying solo? We like your style. And maybe (just maybe) you’ve stumbled into your dream role. 

Offices in Manly, Spring Hill and Burleigh.

  • Know how to expertly provide accurate and timely legal and related advice to clients
  • Have mastered conducting property searches, invoicing and billing, and drafting correspondence and general system-generated documents
  • Get a kick out of liaising with clients, agents, law firms, banks and brokers
  • Preparing settlement figures and arranging settlements is your middle name
  • Are keen to get cracking with in-house stamping of contracts and transfers
  • Know how to maintain and prepare PEXA workspaces
  • Have experience with the A-Z running of sale and purchase conveyancing files (including conducting due diligence enquiries) in accordance with the Queensland Conveyancing Protocol
  • Are open to CLE and any other relevant training

Conveyancing Support

Your friends say you’re the organised one. Like, they tell you they want to go away for a weekend, and you return with a full itinerary kind of organised. You’re approachable, with an eye for detail, and you love celebrating client and team wins. 

Our offices are in Manly, Spring Hill and Burleigh, and you’ll be required to attend settlements in Brisbane CBD from time to time.

  • Collect and manage incoming and outgoing mail 
  • Scan, file, enter data, answer calls and greet clients

Law Graduate

Fresh out of university? Oof, that was a looooong few years. But you’re here. You made it. Our next law grad brought on board will be trained in the A-Z of conveyancing. You’ll get cosy with one of our experienced lawyers who will take you under their metaphorical wing and show you the ropes. 

You’ll be required to work from one of our Manly, Spring Hill or Burleigh Heads offices in Queensland.
