Damn flexible
A laptop. A phone. An internet connection. Discuss hot desking, work from home and hours to suit your lifestyle
Across Queensland
Our champion file handlers span Manly’s waterside office, Brisbane’s bustling city firm and the Gold Coast, a mere wander from the sea’s shore
By your side
We’re a supportive bunch. With young directors on the floor with you, get comfy with an open door policy, to our offices and your future
Prerequisite:
Pretty good human
(currently a 100% success rate)
offices
team members
in-office beer taps
(we’ll leave you curious about which ones)
This is not a once- a-year sad Subway platter sitch
(Nothing against you, Subway. Love you, Subway)
Just because it’s the way it’s always been done, doesn’t mean it should stay that way.
We’re advocates for freedom. And don’t believe that your best work comes when you’re chained to a desk. No. Maybe it comes when you pop in your AirPods and go for a cruise. Maybe it’s when you work in our bustling Brisbane office one month, and then chill in our Burleigh locale the next. Or maybe (just maybe) it comes when you can pick the kids up from school and finish your work day at home.
Freedom is not just a word written on our website, it guides everything we do when building a company culture you love.
Did we mention there’s beer on tap?
Work hard. Play in the sun.
We’ll be honest, you’ll have to really twist our arms to get many of us in a suit.
Mainly because our hybrid work model means the clothes we wear to the office can easily be worn down to the local café for the mid-morning scenery change. To a first date picnic at lunchtime. Or to carve up the d-floor the moment you clock off.
Hey, we don’t judge.
We asked the team to describe their experiences working at Empire Legal. Here’s what they said:
(We deleted the bad ones)
“Every day is fun coming to work. We have the most supportive management and flexible work environment. We are extremely looked after in a personal way – if I need to work from home one day, they allow that. Or if I feel like working from the beach, I work from Burleigh.”
-Kirsty McKay, PA
“Working with a management team that is friendly, efficient and 100% committed to their staff and clients makes it a pleasure to come to work every day.”
– Lohenay Trewhellar, Senior Conveyancer
“It’s the first job I have had where I don’t dread going to work. The working environment is refreshing in comparison to most companies. It’s fresh, it’s fun, there is a great support network.”
– Nicole Currie, Conveyancing Paralegal
“I love the people. The people, the people, the people. You will not find a more genuine bunch of human beings.”
– Chanel Thornton, Practice Manager
“I’ve been able to jump around from office to office and been able to take on a lot of responsibility right from the start. The autonomy that comes with being a file handler is super rewarding and allows me to structure my days/weeks to best suit me!”
– Charles Hawley, Law Graduate/Conveyancer
