Maddison Defteros
Maddison is the marketing engine behind Empire Legal. She’s a big part of why the firm shows up in your feed, your search results and your inbox looking like a practice run by real, approachable people rather than a faceless firm. She first joined Empire in an admin role while finishing her degrees, went out to sharpen her craft through internships and marketing roles, then came back to take the reins of Empire’s marketing.
What Maddison does
Maddison leads Empire’s marketing: the brand, the content, the social channels and the campaigns that help Queensland property owners find a conveyancing team they can trust. She lives and breathes social media and pop culture, and it shows: she keeps Empire’s voice fresh, human and unmistakably its own.
Her path to Empire
Maddison started in administration at Empire while working through her studies, built her experience through internships and marketing roles across the industry, and returned to lead the firm’s marketing. She has been part of the property law world since 2019.

Ask anyone at Empire and they’ll tell you Maddison brings the energy (a self-described “mad dog”, in the best possible way). Away from work you’ll find her planning her next trip, chasing a great feed, deep in a binge-worthy show or movie, hanging out with dogs, or in a pilates class.
